Explore the Oak Ridges Moraine While Staying at Slabtown Cider

Slabtown Cider co. is ideally located on the edge of the forest and along the Oak Ridges Moraine, surrounded by trails and valleys. The Durham Forest stands as a natural playground, with an extensive network of trails. This forest offers an ideal setting for hikers, mountain bikers, and trail runners alike. The 596-hectare area is renowned for its excellent cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and horseback riding.

It provides a peaceful escape for those seeking outdoor exploration in Ontario's natural embrace. After a wonderful day of outdoor activities, Terego members can enjoy the delicious ciders concocted from fruit grown on sites, accompanied by a meal made with local produce, and stay overnight in their RV.

A Nature Lover’s Dream at Rural Rootz Nature Reserve

Dee and Tom Ashman welcome Terego members for an overnight stay at Rural Rootz Nature Reserve in the Bruce Peninsula. Here you can explore a parallel trail to the Bruce Trail called "Rural Rocks Side Trail". It is a 4 k - 2-hour hike that goes through a wonderland of rocks, past crevice caves, around a 10-acre beaver pond, across a couple of board walks and through mixed forests.

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, the Bruce Peninsula offers great opportunities for fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkelling along the pristine coastline.

Winter lovers will be thrilled to know that Rural Rootz Nature Reserve is open all year-round to Terego members so adventure seekers can enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing.

Waterfalls Exploring at Gibson’s Pure Honey

Pam and Derek open their farm, Gibson’s Pure Honey, to Terego Members with their van or camper, to help educate them on the importance of honeybees for nature. Near their land, you can follow the 77 km multi-use Grey County CP Rail Trail for cycling, hiking, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. In the warmer months, make the 5-minute trip to William’s Lake for swimming, boating, kayaking, or fishing. The famous Walter’s Falls Loop trail (4,5km) is accessible by car and can be explored on foot or snowshoe. This trail will bring you to 5 beautiful and different waterfalls!

Gibson's Pure Honey family give guided tours of the farm, where you can admire their beehives and pet the goats, alpacas and pigs. Their well-stocked boutique offers delicious unpasteurized honey, pollen, beauty products and much more. They welcome Terego members for an overnight motorhome or travel trailer stay all year-round.
